White Bear LAKE residence

It's always a privilege to help restore a historic home and transform it into a comfortable family retreat for the next hundred years. But, this project was exceptionally exciting because the house was originally designed by Clarence Johnston, Minnesota's State Architect from 1901 to 1931, so it had beautiful scale and proportion—amazing views of White Bear Lake and a boathouse. Then, when the contractor, Nor-Son, Inc. received a Contractor of the Year Award for Historic Renovation from the Builders Association of the Twin Cities, we were especially honored!
